A SIMPLE IDEA

You have something.
They do, too.

NeighborTrade brings the two sides of a good trade together. Start with what you have. Stay curious about what comes next.

  1. 01

    Give it a new chapter.

Add an item, a few photos, and an honest description. Tell the story of what makes it worth passing on.

A good find starts with good details.
  2. 02

    Find your kind of swap.

Explore items, share what you’re looking for, and build an offer. One item or a bundle—there’s room for ideas.

A little flexibility goes a long way.
  3. 03

    Make a plan to meet.

Agree on a public place, check the items together, and exchange when you’re both happy.

A good exchange works for both neighbors.

GOOD TRADES START WITH CARE

A little thought.
A better exchange.

The best trade is one you both feel good about. Keep these habits at the heart of every meetup.

Read the community rules

Be clear. Be kind.

Describe wear honestly, ask questions, and agree on exactly what’s included.

Keep the meetup public.

Choose a busy place. Share an approximate town when browsing, and keep your home address private.

Take your time.

Inspect each item together. You can walk away if something doesn’t feel right.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Glad you
asked.

How do I join?

Open NeighborTrade, choose “New here? Create an account,” and verify your email with a code. Confirm you’re 18 or older and accept the community rules. Then add your name and city and list your first item.

Is this for real trades?

Yes. Members create real listings, make offers, and message each other to arrange local exchanges. The illustrations on this page are examples, not live listings. The community is new, so availability depends on neighbors joining near you.

Does it cost anything?

NeighborTrade is free to use. NeighborTrade is for trading items; it does not process payments or arrange shipping. Agree on the items and inspect them at a public meetup before confirming the trade.

Do I need to download an app?

No. NeighborTrade opens in a browser on iPhone, Android, or a computer. Existing NeighborTrade iPhone users can sign in with the same NeighborTrade account and see their saved listings and trades.

How are listings checked?

New and edited listings go through automatic text and photo screening. Listings that pass become visible; flagged items stay private for review. Screening can make mistakes. Members can report concerns, block a neighbor, or contact support.

Will my account stay signed in?

Reloading or closing the page means signing in again. Saved listings, offers, and messages remain in your account. Never share your email code.

SOMETHING GOOD IS ALREADY OUT THERE

Maybe it starts
with what you have.

Start with two things you’d be happy to trade.
